Wyre Forest Leisure Centre (1), Silverwoods Way, Kidderminster, Worcs

This new leisure centre opened in July 2016 and is operated for the Wyre Forest District Council by Places for People. It replaced centres in Kidderminster (now demolished) and Stourport-on-Severn (closed). The new centre has proved very popular, so much so that at peak periods the 171 car parking spaces have proved insufficient. The council are considering how more could be provided. The centre and the many residential roads nearby have been developed on the former and vast British Sugar Corporation site. Much of the site has not yet been redeveloped. Image Image
