This old track was once the preferred route between Haslingden and Holcombe. It has only recently been re-defined as a bridleway on Lancashire County Council's Definitive Map. Here we see some improvement works being carried out on a steep section that leads onto Holcombe Moor. Helmshore can be seen in the valley below.
