Entrance porch, or porte-cochère if you will, to the Spa Baths and Pump Room, opened in 1905 by Prince Henry of Battenburg. At that time you could take an immersion spa bath then sip the sulphur water. Public swimming baths were added in 1936 - before this, changing rooms had been built alongside the river.
