A small common located to the south of Henfield that was used for both pasture and brick making, the latter occurring during the 18th and 19th centuries resulting in a large number of ponds formed from the extraction of clay. This is the northern part of the common located to the north of the stream, an unnamed tributary of the River Adur, that cuts through the centre of it.
