This barren strawberry (Potentilla sterilis) has managed to survive in a very unpromising looking spot in Orchard Way. It is a little more hairy than wild strawberry and the most distal leaf lobe is normally smaller than those on either side of it. The black lichens above and to the right of the barren strawberry are probably a Collema sp.
