On the former route of the A303 through Zeals. It is puzzling where the 'Cross' came from. Ordnance Survey maps of any age only show a T-junction with a lane from Wolverton here, which originally was further east than the one in the foreground, but no road going north, although a hedge line lacking any right-of-way does.
