The architect obviously made the most of the constricted site which is roughly trapezoidal in shape, resulting in an unusual interior plan. Instead of standard side aisles, there is a triangular space to the south of the main nave and on the north side (as seen here) a series of reducing spaces : first a narrow side aisle, then a small side chapel and a further very small space beyond that.
