Station Road, Henfield

A residential road linking Upper Station Road to Lower Station Road that was originally built to provide access to Henfield station. The station opened in 1861 and was closed with the rest of Shoreham-Christ's Hospital line in 1966, see Image The house on the left is The Old Co-Op and was built in the early 1990s on what was the site of a Co-Op depot that later was used as storage for aircraft parts. Beyond is Upper and Lower Westlands the latter having once been a shop known as Station Stores.
