Abernant is a hamlet 6 miles south of Builth Wells and 75 miles from Cardiff. Its name means “Mouth of the spring”. The spring forms above Abernant, near the summit of Banc y Celyn and runs through Abernant to join the River Wye (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abernant,_Powys Wikipedia).
