Topsham railway station is the passing place for the otherwise single-track branch line from Exmouth Junction to Exmouth. At the August 2016 date of this photo, the points and signals at the passing place and the adjacent Station Road level crossing barriers are remotely controlled from the signal box at Exmouth Junction.
