Cast iron post by the A35, in parish of NEW MILTON (NEW FOREST District), Memorial Cottage; 75 metres North of War Memorial on the verge, on South-east side of road. Armfield iron casting erected by the Christchurch & Lyndhurst Turnpike Trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : 4 / CHRIST / CHURCH : : 10 / LYND / HURST : Milestone Society National ID: HA_LHCC10.
