In the car park of the Erpingham Arms public house > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/5323512. The blue anemone is a member of the ranunculus family and grows from a tuber, reaching a height of 25 to 30 cm. It is found mainly in northern temperate regions from Jordan and Syria to Denmark and also grows in abundance in the extensive Italian Apennine mountain range. There are some 120 species that flower in March and April with blue (and sometimes also white and pink) flowers.
