Looking towards Loughborough, Derby, and Nottingham from the bridge carrying Melton Road across the railway. On the right, Syston's tiny station can be seen, with a few people already awaiting the next train to Nottingham and Lincoln. Beyond the station, Syston South Junction, where the line to Peterborough leaves the main line, can almost be picked out.
