Mixed tree woodland owned by the Forestry Commission. Lack of management in the past has given the woodland a dank and eerie look particularly on overcast days when what little light is available is shut out. The main footpath runs through the copse from Rowlands Lane to a bridleway to the west of Ashey. As can be seen wet weather makes the path very muddy and this is one of the better stretches.
