The building on the right is the rear of the Category A listed Calton Convening Rooms, at 29 Waterloo Place, dating from 1818-19. It was built to replace the former convening rooms of the Incorprated Trades of Calton, which were demolished to make way for the new Waterloo Place and Regent Bridge at that time.
