The Latin inscription on this plaque built into the wall in front of Image] says that this church was the first one to be blessed and dedicated by Gordon Joseph Gray, Archbishop of St Andrews and Edinburgh (later Cardinal Gray) during his primacy, in the reign of Pope Pius XII. It refers to Saint Margaret, Queen of Scots, and to Saint John Vianney, whose name the church bears.
