Sale Art Zoo was a project celebrating Chester Zoo founder George Mottershead's connection to Sale, culminating in a vibrant display of colourfully decorated life-size animals through the town centre in July 2016. The event was organised by local graphic artists Anna Chopping and Zoe Taylor who worked with various schools and community groups. http://www.saleartzoo.co.uk/ Most of the exhibits were removed after the event but this decorated elephant on display at Waterside seems to have been left behind.
