1920s-looking public house at the corner of Fletchampstead Highway and Charter Avenue. Eatery popular with families, with curving central bar, eating and drinking areas front, left, right and back; background music, games machine, TV, pool. Cask ales on offer at my visit: Black Sheep Bitter, Greene King IPA, Sharp's Doom Bar, Ubu Purity, Wells Bombardier. The name of the pub apparently derives from haunting by the driver of a coach (and horses) that left the road and was consumed in marshes.
