Hayfield Bus Station is a sleepy affair; in most daytime hours there are just three departures - to Buxton, Glossop and Stockport. The site was formerly the railway station, closed in 1970, which at least offered through passenger facilities to Manchester. The parked High Peak bus is serving as a staff facility.
