Early 19th century late Georgian houses, later converted to shops, Listed Grade II. Above the archway at the right hand end is an elliptical panel http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/5282482 inscribed 'Russel Court 1820'. This led to a long narrow yard with around 20 small dwellings, typical of lower class housing of the period and often becoming the slums in the 20th century.
