Collared earthstar in Brighton Wild Park woods

The collared earthstar (Geastrum triplex) has an outer layer of tissue which folds backwards in segments lifting the inner spore bearing ball slightly off the ground. These were growing in the Wild Park woods above North Moulsecoomb.
