This post office unusually derives its name from a pub nearby - Image The office replaced one more traditionally named Wyberton in around 1950 - the reason for the renaming is perhaps lost in the mists of time. Pincushion Post Office was located in Granville Avenue, nearby, until 9 September 2016 when it moved into this Spar shop in Parthian Avenue. The postbox has been moved here from Granville Avenue too - it is almost certainly the same box as it is a fairly rare Type L box (see Image).
