An example of the attractive smaller properties being developed on parts of this former industrial estate outside Altrincham. In earlier times, Broadheath was an important industrial hub with leading machine tool and instrument makers who helped significantly in England's war effort and were consequently targeted by German bombers in the 1940s. The King and Queen made a Royal visit here shortly after the War in recognition of their contribution.
