Opened in 1840 by the Taff Vale Railway on its line from Cardiff to Merthyr Tydfil. View south east towards Cathays and Cardiff, following installation of a new footbridge. The former booking office is up at street level to the left, now hidden from view. See Image] for a similar view some three years earlier.
