Wesley Salmon Close is presumably named after the 18-year old young man who died in a train accident near Hastings station just over a mile away in 2001 (there is also a Wesley C. Salmon, an American philosopher of science, who died in the same year). Note the newly planted hedges of Lonicera nitida 'Baggesen's Gold' that are a feature of this estate.
