The inscription on this stone at Holy Trinity, Failsworth Image reads: TO THE GLORY OF GOD. AND IN MEMORY OF THE LATE JAMES KERSHAW J.P. OF MACCLESFIELD THIS STONE WAS LAID BY HIS SON NORMAN NOVEMBER 21ST 1908.
