There are proposals to site a new Robin Hood Airport railway station along this stretch of line. The flaws are that there are very few trains currently running on the Doncaster-Lincoln service, and there are very few passengers at the airport who would probably use it. Another proposal is to run a spur line from Doncaster into the airport. I suspect it will be quite a few years before a station will be pictured.
