The fountain is situated just inside the gates to Eastwood Old Cemetery. The inscription on the fountain reads: EASTWOOD PAROCHIAL BOARD TO COMMEMORATE THE SERVICES TO THIS CEMETERY OF THE LATE ALEXANDER CRUM ESQUIRE OF THORNLIEBANK 1894 The cemetery is Category B listed.
