This large Edwatdian house was built for the Clark family who once owned a large bakery nearby and were involved in the foundation of Brighton & Hove Albion, whose former ground the house looked out upon to the west. The bakery went bust in 1976 and the football ground was sold in 1997. The house has survived though has now been converted into flats.
