King Arthur's Castle being the popular name for the erstwhile headquarters building of the National Union of Mineworkers. The building was commissioned by Arthur Scargill and opened in 1988. It wasn't long before the Union moved its headquarters to Barnsley and the building has stood empty ever since.It is now being stripped out and prepared for use as a bar, restaurant and office space.
