Taken from British Airways flight BA1394 on approach to Manchester Airport runway 05L from London Heathrow. Construction at the junction is for the new A556 dual carriageway, which is substantially complete, although not currently connected to the junction. Traffic still runs on the single carriageway A556 to the east of the junction.
