In Victorian times a new chancel was built north of the old church and the whole of the north wall of the chancel is carved with images of the twelve apostles. The window has images of saints the centre one being Mary holding the young Jesus. The church is always kept locked as it is, in the words of the church warden "Full of valuable things people would want to steal" Christian thought for the day methinks.
