On the corner of Douro Road and Malvern Place. The cast-iron hexagonal box is one of the type designed by J.W. Penfold, manufactured by Cochrane Grove Company of Dudley from 1866-1879. Grade II listed in 1977. Cheltenham has 8 of the 64 Penfold-type Victorian pillarboxes reputed to remain in the UK.
