Chadwell Millennium Green was originally an unnamed set of allotments. After these were abandoned a planning application was put in to turn the site into thirty houses. The residents objected to this, due to lack of access and infrastructure, and applied to turn the site into a small pocket park for present and future generations. This is now Chadwell Millennium Green.
