Wall panelling in the Lady Chapel is dedicated "In loving memory of a dear husband and father Albert Ashworth. On the wall above is a marble tablet: The memory of the just is blessed TO THE GLORY OF GOD and to the honoured and beloved memory of THOMAS WOOLFENDEN JUSTICE OF THE PEACE FOR THE COUNTY OF LANCASTER WHO DIED JULY 19, 1903. AGED 52 YEARS. THIS TABLET IS ERECTED BY HIS SORROWING WIDOW TO RECORD HER UNDYING DEVOTION ALSO IN MEMORY OF JAMES SON OF THE ABOVE WHO DIED JULY 18 1900, AGED 20 YEARS. Requiescant in Pace.
