The block is located between Princes Crescent to the west and Viceroy Lodge to the east. This part of the old parish of Hove was one of the last to be developed with the semi-detached numbers 145-151 on the right not constructed until the 1930s. Number 155 to the right was built around 1925. The large block, currently the Princes Marine Hotel was built in the mid 1980s on the site of a former nursing home that had burnt down in 1983 having been built in 1902 as a private house before it was converted into Hove College during the 1930s until closure in 1980. See http://regencysociety-jamesgray.com/volume15/source/jg_15_005.html taken in 1983.
