Good Beer Guide-listed public house on Adelaide Road, next to the station approach. Victorian in style, with stripped-out interior: central bar, with eating and drinking areas left, front and back; exposed brickwork and wooden beams. There is a games area on the first floor. Games machines, juke box, large beer garden, large collection of pump clips on the ceiling. Eight cask ales were on offer at my visit, many from local breweries.
