There are 1000 of these cast-iron Millennium Mileposts on the NCN throughout the U.K. They are sometimes adopted by the local community and the original black finish is often repainted in bright colours, sometimes by local school children. This one is on Route 97 on the Rathkeel Road in Broughshane opposite St. Patricks Church.
