This is a simple "barn" church typical of the churches of the period immediately following on Catholic Emancipation and before the adoption of more elaborate Continental styles characteristic of the "monumentalism and triumphalism" phase of Irish Catholicism in late 19thC and early 20thC. http://www.catholicireland.net/irish-church-architecture-in-the-era-of-vatican-ii/
