Under Wenlock Edge

The southern end of Wenlock Edge, but the Silurian limestone ridge goes on a lot further, twisting around Ludlow and then into Radnorshire. Every now and then at places like Downton, Aymestry and Stokesay a river breaches the line. There are actually two ridges with a high dale between them.
