Built circa 1903 in "mock Tudor" style, the Victoria Hotel was acquired by the State Management Scheme in 1916, but sold in 1920 to a E F Fairbairn, who leased it to Cumberland Council as the Citadel Chambers. Photographs on Geograph show it was a temporary police station after the 2005 floods (see: Image] , Image] and Image] ), but it now houses retail outlets and apartments.
