Looking across the Caledonian Canal, at the foot of the Muirtown Locks. The building on the left was probably a pair of lock-keeper's cottages, built in the mid 19th century. For many years, it was The Caley Inn. This was a popular pub for fans of Caledonian F.C - their home ground was Telford Street Park, just behind here. The pub closed a few years ago. In 2009 it got planning permission for conversion into flats, but it still appears to be derelict.
