View approximately NW, towards Monmouth, of the former Coleford Railway (then GWR) station. The ex-Severn & Wye Railway (GW & Midland Joint) station is behind the wagons to the right of the photo. The GWR station was closed to passengers from Monmouth Troy from 1/1/1917 and to goods mostly from the same date, but the stub of the line illustrated remained open from the east as far as Whitecliff Quarry till 1/8/67. From 1988 the goods shed of Coleford (GWR) was converted into the current Coleford Great Western Railway Museum. See Image The view direction is approximate.
