The Geograph project started in 2005 with the aim of publishing, organising and preserving representative images for every square kilometre of Great Britain, Ireland and the Isle of Man.

Formerly Image, and then repainted in a rather more tasteful off-white colour Image It closed in 2015, and has now been converted Image to a branch of the Coop, which opened in the autumn of 2016.
