The branch closed in October 2016, by which time it seemingly had just 15 'active' customers remaining. The upper floor still appears to be occupied by an accountancy firm, although that was taken over in 2014, and they may find themselves looking for new premises as a result of the bank's decision to close. The building is listed Grade II as described at http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-255275-lloyd-s-bank-shifnal-#.WDDGtNSLTGg & https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1176372, and dates from 1840. Since closure as a bank, the building has been mostly used as a day nursery for young children.
