A similar viewpoint to a photo taken in January 2014, when the trees had just been cleared from the bank on the right (Image). Now, getting on for three years later, gorse has reached an appreciable height. The steps lead down to Bourne Avenue, and the path runs alongside the Wessex Way town-centre by-pass, following the approximate former course of St. Stephen's Road, which was truncated to allow for the main road to be built in 1973.
