Looking along Queen's Road as it crosses the Upper Gardens, with some autumn colour in the background. Right in front of us, between the lamppost and the bollard, a V-shaped pine needle appears to hover magically in mid air. In fact, it has become caught in a cobweb as it has fallen, the cobweb being attached to a wooden signpost whose very edge can just be seen down the left side of the picture. Keen eyed viewers may also spot a cyclist crossing the road ahead - the southwestern path along the Gardens is designated as a shared path.
