The Slindon Pumpkin Festival has been going since 1968 and includes a different canvas each year made out of a variety of pumpkins. The one in 2016 had as its theme 'Saving the bees'. See http://www.amusingplanet.com/2012/02/slindon-pumpkin-festival.html and http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/features/3638094/The-pumpkin-kings-crowning-glory.html for more information and pictures. On this visit it was getting towards the end of the month and a half the festival runs so the only presence was the cat and you paid for the pumpkins and squashes via an honesty box. The cat was patrolling apart from a brief departure for a bit of food.
