Installed in September 2016 as part of a local two-month Amy Johnson Festival in celebration of her life. The sculpture is on a grassed area off Westbrick Avenue on the site of a former primary school named after the aviator. It was unveiled by another famous daughter of Hull, Maureen Lipman, and is the twin of a statue (see Image) revealed a couple of weeks earlier in Herne Bay, Kent which is close to where Johnson's plane fatally crashed in 1941, and where she had previously been commemorated by Image
