Looking south down Moss Road towards Cadishead. The construction of the farmhouse of Birch Tree Farm is typical of the dwellings built on the moss hereabouts. Lightweight structures on soft ground. The moss here is known as Great Woolden Moss, part of the greater Chat Moss. From SJ69899436.
